GPS  is offering several innovative methods in early childhood Education where young children are considered as Champs and respected as competent thinkers and communicators who are offered many opportunities to engage with a range of resources to improve and challenge their thinking.

We follow Activity-Bases-Experimental Learning inspired by Globally accepted best teaching practices of Reggio Emilia, Montessori and Kindergarten. Each theme progresses through the Experience -> Observation ->Analysis -> Action Cycle.

Play is the medium that drives children’s  learning and our Play-Way Methodology enables children to develop language and numeracy skills and discover their environment while playing with toys, putting puzzles together, building blocks, acting as doctor and cooks etc. The principal role of our curriculum is to create conditions so that talent can flower and knowledge is created within the child by the child.

SCIENCE & MATHS LABORATORIES

The school has distinct and separate Science Laboratories for practical sessions in Maths, Physics, Chemistry & Biology. The labs are spacious and offer modern and excellent equipments where our students are encouraged to use their analytical and creative skills through research & experimentation.

Counselling in school plays an important role in the students development and achievements. School counseling programmes enhance and promote student learning by enhancing college readiness as well as academic, personal, social and career competencies.

COMPUTER SCIENCE

Computer Science encompasses foundational principles and widely applicable ideas and concepts. It incorporates techniques and methods for solving problems and advancing knowledge and a distinct way of thinking and working that sets it apart from other disciplines.

SOCIAL SCIENCE

Social Science is an academic discipline concerned With society and the relationship among individuals within a society on the globe. The social science department offers an inclusive Study of several branches of the Social Sciences Which aims to provide a social perspective in a Fast-changing digital world.

INFIRMERY

GPS has an infirmary staffed with a qualified nurse who attends to the first aid needs of the children. The school has a tie-up with a hospital in case of an emergency. Health check-up of all children are carried out annually.The school also maintains cumulative health records.

SEPARATE PLAY FIELDS

Children love to run, jump and play in open spaces. Outdoor play is imperative for child’s physical growth And building stamina. GPS provides separate play Fields for tiny toddlers, primary and senior students.

SPORTS / YOGA

The word Yoga means ‘union’ in Sanskrit. Here the union takes place between the mind, body and spirit. ‘Asana’ refers to the practice of physical postures or poses. To ensure a sound physical and spiritual health, we have Yoga sessions for students on a regular basis which also brings out the inner discipline amongst the learners.

BASKET BALL                     

GPS has a match-size basket-ball court with the aim to develop their mental skills, individual and team concepts to enable them to complete successfully at state and national levels under the guidance of well  trained instructors. Playing basket ball helps children learn basic co-ordination and team building skills with an added bonus of making new friends along the way. Getting your child going with basic basket-ball skills at a young age not only helps encourage exercise, but serves as a foundation for staying active later in life.

TAEKWONDO        

Taekwondo is a traditional Korian martial art. It makes the children not only physically and mentally stronger but also helps to develop concentration and memory. It boosts self confidence, self esteem and sense of respect and courtesy. Seeing its importance in students life, GPS look initiative to train their students under the best trainers of the city.

CHESS/BOARD GAMES

A healthy mind and a fit body contribute greatly in Shaping the golden future of a child. Unless the child Is made to practice mental exercise in addition to physical exercises as he grows up, he would eventually  experience problems such as mental numbness, forgetfulness, loss of concentration etc. Board games such as Chess, Scrabble greatly aid in developing the muscles of the brain. Seeing the importance of Chess, at GPS we have a hall for Board Games. Playing the game of Chess on a regular basis right from the childhood improves the learning, thinking, analytical power and decision making ability of the child.

 BADMINTON       

Badminton increases muscle strength of limbs and improves co-ordination. Children keep their eyes on the shuttlecock as it is hit to and fro and thus they prevent their eyes also from myopia. Badminton is a sport for all and is really easy to learn. It is a racquet sport, played either by two opposing players or two opposing pairs. Now a days, students like to opt for badminton in large numbers. We have an expert coach to train them for the techniques & the rules and regulations of the game.

LAWN TENNIS

Tennis offers all the same great health benefits to children. It helps to get aerobic fitness, speed, leg strength, gross and Fine motor control, agility, dynamic balance, co-ordination and flexibility. At GPS we have decided to associate with Mahesh Bhupati. Tennis Association to give better training. It is a hugely Sociable sport.

SCHOOL BAND                                                                                          

At GPS we strive for musical excellence And encourage all students to develop their Full musical potential. Whether a student is Just a beginner or an advanced player, we offer Many opportunities for students to participate in learning and creating music with one another. Band students are given many opportunities to showcase their talents throughout the year at concerts, and in the inter-school, at band festivals.

TABLE TENNIS

Table Tennis is another area of games and sports where the young children can venture and show their skills as the school caters to their needs providing six TT tables to enable more participation from all quarters. Children will benefit from learning its important skills at an early age, which will increase the likelihood of enjoying table tennis throughout their lives.Table Tennis demands the extensive use of hand/eye co-ordination exercises and establishes a solid foundation for future skill development.
